A strike in education in Basque Country, called for the 15th of September by all the trade unions

Following these same demands, on the 10th of September protests have been called in front of the three Education Delegations in the ACBC.

Miren Zubizarreta, head of education at ELA, affirms that there are insufficient resources in the centres to guarantee the health of the members of the school community and that the protests and mobilisations will continue until an answer is given to the needs demanded by a safe return to classroom education.

All the education trade unions –ELA, LAB, Steilas, CCOO and UGT, demand negotiations, both with the Administration and with employers’ associations to plan the return to the classrooms, emphasising the urgency of having more staff, fewer pupils per classroom and teacher substitutions from day one.
