ELA joins the Gernika-Palestine Platform's demand for a ceasefire and the right to self-determination for the Palestinian People

Leire Gallego, member of the executive committee and head of social action of ELA and Ioritz Iglesias, head of social action in Gipuzkoa, attended the appearance called by the Gernika Palestine Citizen Platform.
The platform has shared the situation that the Palestinian people are experiencing and in particular, the Gaza Strip. All the organisations have expressed their concern about the escalation of violence that the state of Israel is exercising. Consequently, at the end of the appearance a joint declaration was made public.
For ELA it is essential:
An immediate and permanent ceasefire that puts an end to the genocide in Gaza.
A comprehensive resolution through negotiation and dialogue between the parties under the protection of the international community.
The suspension of arms sales to Israel, as well as the cessation of all commercial, economic or any other type of activity with entities and institutions that do not oppose genocide in Palestine, by companies, local, state and European institutions (association agreements and treaties of the European Union and the Member States) and entities such as universities, social organizations...
That the institutions of the Basque Country and Navarre, as well as the Spanish State, present Declarations of Intervention before the International Criminal Court to support the lawsuit already underway there against Israel.
