The General Secretary, Esther Lynch, meets ELA in Bilbao

Esther Lynch, General Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) since 2022, met this morning at ELA headquarters in Bilbao with a representation of the organization headed by Mitxel Lakuntza, General Secretary and Amaia Muñoa, Deputy General Secretary and Head of International.

This is the first time that ELA receives the visit of Esther Lynch and the union has taken the opportunity to present the organization and its priorities and general lines of action in the context of the Basque Country.

ELA has been a member of the ETUC since its foundation, and has stressed the importance that has always given to its participation in the European Confederation and to the international work.

Esther Lynch, for her part, has analyzed the main lines of work of the ETUC at this time. Among other topics, she has addressed the rise of the extreme right in Europe, the housing problem and the strategy for the defense of the interests of workers before the new European Commission.
